About this course:

The world as we know it is changing.  There are more and more instances where people are being ambushed in their vehicle.  Knowing how to shoot out of and around your vehicle is an important skill, as there are many misconceptions and myths.  Understanding bullet trajectories, velocity loss, expansion, as well as what parts of the vehicle truly offer cover versus concealment are topics many people do not truly understand.  The bottom line is your vehicle can quickly become your coffin.

This course will cover:

• Movement out of your vehicle
  
• Shooting from inside your vehicle, both through side openings and through windshields
  
• Shooting from around your vehicle
  
• Movement around your vehicle
  
• Placement of gear on yourself and in your vehicle
  

Equipment Required:

• Your daily carry handgun
  
• Your daily carry holster (No SERPA type retention holsters)
  
• Approximately 200 rounds of ammunition  - Ammunition MUST be full metal jacket.
  
• Full goggles (not just glasses)
  
• Dust mask
  
• Gloves
  

Prerequisites:

Must have attended Defensive Handgun Level 1 and Defensive Handgun Level 2 (or equivalent at a recognized training facility).  Barricades, Cover, and Concealment Course is helpful but not required.

Notes:

Drills will start with utilizing airsoft prior to live fire events.  If you have your own airsoft equipment you are welcome to bring it.

This course is live fire with handguns only, although long guns will be discussed and utilized in the airsoft portion.

This course is open to participants 18 and over only (waivers for younger granted on a case by case basis)
