About This Course

This four day train-the-trainer course will teach school resource officers how to properly prepare, react, and respond to an active killer event.  While an emphasis will be on shooters, the course will also cover other weapons and bombs.

This is a full event spectrum course covering the three main steps in an active killer event; neutralize the threat, treat the wounded, control the scene for orderly evacuation.

Those who complete this course will be better equipped to not only personally respond, but to help train other officers and staff in their facility.

• ·       Quickly evaluating best response actions
• ·       Dominating the attacker
• ·       Searching for add-on threats
• ·       Stabilizing the wounded
• ·       Controlling the scene and linking up with other responders

Equipment Required:

All training equipment will be required.

Dress:

Please wear a department or “police” shirt to identify yourself.  You do not need your duty belts or vests.

Safety:

During all scenarios, firearms and ammunition will be locked in the classroom.  Please do not leave firearms in vehicles.

Open to sworn law enforcement officers only
