About This Course:

In many areas, assailants prefer using bladed or pointed weapons. Additionally, there are places where carrying a firearm is not permitted, but you may be allowed to carry a knife for self-defense.

Most knife fighting or knife defense classes resemble a choreographed dance more than practical training for real encounters. Such encounters are often ambushes, typically brief but always brutal. Your training needs to focus on the actual techniques employed by most attackers.

This is not a martial arts training course. It is a hybrid-style, reality-based system with techniques you can apply immediately.

Topics Include:

  • ·       Multiple Angles of Attack
  • ·       Footwork and Distancing
  • ·       Direct and Efficient Strikes
  • ·       Clinch and Control
  • ·       Simplicity and Adaptability
  • ·       Mindset and Awareness

This course is focused on practicality and is designed with methods to adapt to various situations, opponents, and personal fitness, skill, and size.

Equipment Required:

  • ·       Eye protection
  • ·       Groin protection for males and breast protection for females is optional but recommended
  • ·       Wear a shirt you don’t mind getting destroyed.  It probably won’t, but you never know.
  • ·       Training knives will be supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own

Prerequisites:

  • ·       None
  • ·       This class is geared toward the individual with little to no martial arts or fighting experience.
  • ·       If you have martial arts experience, you will still benefit by learning the additional nuances of this style.

Special Note about Physical Condition:

You do NOT have to be in great shape, be strong or particularly fast. A 100 pound woman can drop a man twice her size using the principles taught. That's not hyperbole, and will be demonstrated in class.

Price:

$125
