Practical Defense Where You’re Most Vulnerable

About This Course

Every day, you get in and out of your vehicle multiple times. At the gas station, in parking lots, sitting at stoplights, pulling into your driveway.

It’s routine. It’s familiar. It feels safe. But these are also some of the most common moments where people are distracted, stationary, and vulnerable.

Most self-defense training assumes you are standing, aware, and able to move freely. Inside a vehicle, none of those advantages exist. You are seated. You are restricted. And any threat is already at close range. Despite how much time we spend in and around vehicles, this environment is almost never addressed in traditional training.

This one-day, hands-on course is designed to change that.

You will learn how to fight effectively inside and around a vehicle using empty hand techniques, edged weapons, and firearms (simunition-based), with a focus on practical skills that apply to real-world encounters.

Whether you are commuting, transporting your family, or driving for a rideshare service, this course will give you the tools to recognize threats early, respond effectively, and manage a situation where space, time, and options are limited.

This is not a sport-based class or a choreographed system.
It is reality-based defensive training designed for everyday adults.

If your training does not include one of the environments you are most likely to be attacked in, you are leaving a critical gap in your preparedness.

This course is designed to close that gap.

Special Emphasis Will Be Placed On:

  • Fighting from seated and restricted positions
  • Managing distance in confined spaces
  • Accessing tools under pressure
  • Weapon retention in close contact
  • Using the vehicle structure to your advantage
  • Decision-making under stress

Topics Covered:

  • Vehicle-specific threat awareness and pre-incident indicators
  • Safe approaches to and entry into your vehicle
  • Identifying and responding to ambush situations
  • Fighting from seated positions with limited mobility
  • Seatbelt challenges and entanglement management
  • Empty hand combatives in close quarters
  • Edged weapon access and defense considerations
  • Firearm application in confined spaces (simunition-based)
  • Weapon retention and disarm dynamics
  • Passenger vs. driver engagement considerations
  • Rear-seat threat scenarios
  • Multiple occupant challenges
  • Exiting the vehicle safely under threat
  • Scenario-based training including carjacking, rideshare assaults, and parking lot ambushes

Equipment Required:

  • Comfortable clothing suitable for movement
  • Eye protection (required for simunition training)
  • Groin protection (recommended)
  • All weapons will be provided.  If you have an airsoft holster please bring it (you are welcome to bring your own airsoft)

Prerequisites:

None.

This course is designed for everyday adults with little to no prior training. Those with prior experience will benefit from applying their skills in a confined environment.

Course Notes:

This is a physical, hands-on training day conducted in and around vehicles. You do not need to be strong, fast, or highly athletic, but you should be prepared to move, adapt, and engage in dynamic drills.
